“Care for God’s Creation” Recycling Program

Don’t throw bottle caps in your garbage. Collect and bring them. Our recycling program partner TerraCycle is taking any brand of plastic bottle caps and promises to recycle them. More importantly, let’s use less individual plastic bottles!

Since this began with youth member Emma Bahr’s presentation on how plastic bottle caps and their microplastics threaten sea creatures and consequently our bodies, our recycling program has expanded to four items that are difficult to recycle properly: (1) plastic bottle caps, (2) plastic packaging such as Amazon shipping bags, (3) oral care products, (4) blades & razors. Collection boxes are in the narthex and at the curbside.
