Congregational participation is crucial to its success. Do you feel a calling to help by sponsoring a meal through a financial gift to cover food expenses? Would you be willing to share your cooking talents by preparing a portion of the meal? Do you love driving so that we can bring homebound friends meals? Last but not least, we need help with evening clean up.

If you can help in anyway, find the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board in the Fellowship Hall, or simply email the church office at secretary@lodiumc.org 

 

For Children & Youth

Getting to know Jesus….Through Our Senses

February 22^nd – No youth program but all our invited to the Ash Wednesday Worship Service at 6pm.

March 1^st – Does your child love scavenger hunts?  Well, if they do, they won’t want to miss our first night of our Wonderful Wednesday Youth Program.  We will be getting to know Jesus and each other better through our 5 senses!  Lets have fun with a scavenger hunt and a “get-to-know-you” night.  Join us for out of this world fun!

March 8^th – Getting to know Jesus through our sense of smell.  If science is your “thing”, then you won’t want to miss some wacky science experiments where we will answer questions such as “Why would God create such a bad smell?” as well as a game of can you guess that smell with your eyes closed?

March 15^th – Lets get to know Jesus through our sense of sound tonight!  We will play a round of “Guess that sound effect”!  We will learn another form of communication people use when they don’t have the ability to hear.  Enjoy a demonstration of sign language.  We will then journey to see and experience our very own Lodi United Methodist Church Praise Team in action.

March 22^nd – Tonight we will be getting to know Jesus through our sense of touch.  Do you dare place your hands in boxes without knowing what you could be touching and who said using your fingers with paint are only for toddlers?  Join us in making a book filled with tiny creations using just our fingerprints and paint!

March 29^th – God is our creator and what a beautiful world we live in!  Tonight we will be learning more about Jesus through our sense of sight.  Lets have some fun getting our hands dirty and learning more about plants and farming.  Watch a demonstration and leave with your very own make and take planter.

April 5^th – Holy week – No Wonderful Wednesday program.

April 12^th – Let’s get cooking!  Yes, that’s right, our 5^th and final sense.  We will be getting to know Jesus through our sense of taste.  We will be taking over Lodi United Methodist Church’s kitchen, making your very own resurrection rolls that are sure to make your tastebuds happy!  Rejoice, He has risen!
