What You Can Expect of Us

First and foremost, THANK YOU for checking us out!

This is truly a blessing to have you visit us online and invest your time to get to know about us!

You can expect a welcoming, friendly community

You can be a “guest” as long as you want. We won’t pounce on you. We won’t press, prod, or pry. We promise. While you may be softly approached by members who want to meet you, we’ll be mostly pleased to have you among us. We won’t make you feel uncomfortable during your visit.

Worship

We believe worship is a joyful celebration of the gift of life. We hope you find it engaging and uplifting. No dress code! Come as you are!!

Worship services on Sunday mornings vary in atmosphere, themed the message series of the week and the church calendar. You will be given a program or bulletin for the service. Instructions, prayers, songs, and other information is also available on the screens.

Our 8 & 10AM services are slightly different as the early service features more traditional music and the late service begins with songs that might not be in the pew hymnal.

Communion is offered on the first Sunday of each month at both services. It is open to all. You don’t need to be a member of our church or of any church to receive Communion. We celebrate communion with grape juice and bread; gluten-fee bread is available for those who need it. Pastor will explain the process of communion during worship.

Fellowship

We don’t want you to miss this out. Share extra minutes with us after the early service and before the late service.

Fellowship time is a chance to visit and enjoy refreshments. Coffee, tea, water, and other drinks are served. Homemade snacks are usually served as well. Often we celebrate special events with cake!

Children

Children are special to us as they are to God! On Sunday morning, we have activity bags and special kids’ bulletins available from the ushers in the entrance area. A staffed nursery is available downstairs and there is a church library with children book collections.

Accessibility & WiFi

Accessibility is in our attention and care for those with physical and mental limitations.

Handicap parking spaces are available close to the church entrance door on the south side of the building. The entrances are the easiest to access. The elevator provide access to the upper and lower levels of the church.

Hearing aid devices are available during worship on Sundays. The person in the A/V booth can help use the device.

Free WiFi is available from any of the “LUMC GUEST” networks throughout our building.  Information of the access code is easy to find on signs in various places.
