Sunday Worship. November 7, 8&10AM. Online/In-Person

We are visiting stories of lesser-known characters in the Bible
and learn how their stories help us grow to greater heights and depths in our walk with God.

This Sunday is special. We celebrate All Saints Sunday with candle-lighting
in memory of those who have gone before us and still have a special place in our hearts.

Come and worship – online or in-person. Celebrate God’s presence and communion with us.

Both of our 8&10AM services continue to be livestreamed

PRELUDE                        Rhea Lind, Susan Frankland

* OPENING PRAYER                 Sherrie Orcholski (8AM), Sherian Foster (10AM)
Great is our God, and worthy of praise!
In all our weakness and strength, with our youth-filled spirits and aging bodies,
we come to be your people, O God.
Strong in faith and eager with questions, singing our praise and whispering our prayers,
we come to be your people, O God.
Filled with saintly determination yet mindful of our human limitations,
we come to be your people, O God.
Made strong in your endless love for us, we know ourselves to be yours and
May we truly become your people today. Amen.

* HYMN OF ADORATION      Gather Us In   (The Faith We Sing #2236)
1 Here in this place new light is streaming, now is the darkness vanished away,
See in this space our fears and our dreamings, Brought here to you in the light of this day.
Gather us in, the lost and forsaken, gather us in, the blind and the lame;
call to us now and we shall awaken, we shall arise at the sound of our name.
2 We are the young, our lives are a mystery, we are the old who yearn for your face,
We have been sung throughout all of history, called to be light to the whole human race.
Gather us in, the rich and the haughty, gather us in, the proud and the strong;
give us a heart so meek and so lowly, give us the courage to enter the song.
3 Here we will take the wine and the water, here we will take the bread of new birth,
here you shall call your sons and your daughters, call us anew to be salt for the earth.
Give us to drink the wine of compassion, give us to eat the bread that is you;
Nourish us well and teach us to fashion lives that are holy and hearts that are true.

And now let the weak say, “I am strong”;
let the poor say, “I am rich because of what the Lord has done for us.” Repeat Give thanks!

Faithful God, you ask us to be faithful people.
In this community, you ask us to be people of justice.
In this community, you ask us to be people of mercy.
In this community, you ask us to be people of peace.
Be with us as we try to be faithful in large ways and in small ways
so your eternal community may come in every way. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

SONG OF FAITH          I Stand Amazed in the Presence (United Methodist Hymnal #371)
1 I stand amazed in the presence of Jesus the Nazarene,
and wonder how he could love me, a sinner, condemned, unclean.

Refrain How marvelous! How wonderful! And my song shall ever be:
How marvelous! How wonderful is my Savior’s love for me!

2 For me it was in the garden He prayed, “Not my will, but thine;”
He had no tears for his own griefs, but sweat drops of blood for mine. Refrain

4 He took my sins and my sorrows, he made them his very own;
he bore the burden to Calvary, and suffered and died alone. Refrain

5 When with the ransomed in glory his face I at last shall see,
’twill be my joy through the ages to sing of his love for me. Refrain
