LUMC Library Scoops

Church Library is open everyday the church is open… Sunday through Thursday mornings. A volunteer is available on Wonderful Wednesday and Sunday morning.

Books are checked out by signing the book card in the back of each book, putting the card in the box on the desk and returning the book to the desk basket when you are finished. A volunteer will put the book back on the shelf.

The library is a family friendly place.  Read, meditate, meet a friend, discuss a favorite book, participate in the reading program sponsored by UMW.  Many Christian magazines are available.

Help!!  Are you an enthusiastic library person? We need 5 to 7 people to form a Library Group to reflect the needs of the church family and advise future growth.  The intent is to meet 3 or 4 times a year.  Men and Women are welcome.  Contact Kay Putman or Joyce Unke if you want to help.

Contact Kay Putman 592-2294 or Joyce Unke 592-4614 for church library assistance

Among the many wonderful materials in the LUMC library is a section of books for those of us who are visually challenged.  Books in large print:  FICTION like James Patterson‘s Sam‘s Letters to Jennifer and Jan Karon‘s Light from Heaven; or BIBLIOGRAPHIES like Don Piper‘s 90 Minutes in Heaven or John MacArthur‘s Twelve Extraor-dinary Women; or CONTEMPORARY like Bill Clinton‘s Giving to name a few.  Others include devotions and books on the Reading List which cover topics on social actions, community growth, education, and spiritual growth.

The Bible on CDs or audio tapes and even MP3 devices are available for anyone to use.  Remember check out is easy, just sign the card in the pocket, leave the card at the desk and enjoy.  When finished, return the item to the desk and we will put it away.  Happy reading and listening.
